I want to start a garden but am not sure how–help!

No problem! We love helping new gardeners put their best foot forward. Our yard workers are always happy to help answer questions, choose appropriate plants, and diagnose issues.

Can I order a custom planter?

Yes, you can work with our talented container experts who can put together a planter according to your specifications and can help you with choosing appropriate plants for your space.

Do you deliver?

Yes! We deliver to much of the Chicagoland area. Delivery fees are determined by zip code. You can set up a delivery over the phone or in-store.

Do you take returns?

Yes! Gethsemane customers have 14 days to return items for a full cash/card refund.

Within 15-30 days customers may receive store credit or exchange the items. 

 

There are a few exceptions, please see below:

Wild Pansy Gift Shop returns

Returns with gift tags may be exchanged only until the date indicated. 

Greenhouse plant returns

  • Returns accepted for insect problems only within 1 month.
  • You must provide your receipt and return the plant in its original container.
  • No returns for plants damaged due to improper care (e.g., overwatering, insufficient drainage, improper light, etc.). For care questions, call the Greenhouse staff at 773-769-8219.
  • Exclusions: Blooming plants, bonsai, and sale plants are final sale.

Tree and shrub returns

  • Trees and shrubs come with a 1-year warranty.
  • If a full-price tree or shrub dies within the first year, it will be replaced or store credit will be issued (no refunds).
  • Exclusions: Cosmetic damage, discounted plants, or plants in containers, raised beds, or parkways.
  • The warranty covers the original purchase price, excluding delivery, planting, or labor fees.
  • To activate the warranty, email a photo of the plant and your receipt to treesandshrubsgethsemane@yahoo.com.
  • No returns on plant material once it leaves the property due to contamination risks.
  • Annuals, ground covers, houseplants, perennials, and sale items are not under warranty.
