04/06/2025 – Ikebana Workshop (Morning Session)
$60.00
10 AM – 12 PM
Gethsemane is excited to welcome Daiyuzenji, a Rinzai Zen Buddhist temple with over two decades of dedication to Zen training and meditative practices, to lead an ikebana workshop during our Spring Fling weekend. Join us in exploring the Japanese art of flower arranging, known as ikebana, under the guidance of these experienced practitioners.
Ikebana, often referred to as “kadō” or the “way of flowers,” is the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging that emphasizes harmony, balance, and a deep respect for nature. Unlike Western floral arrangements that often focus on abundance and color, ikebana seeks to capture the essence of plants by highlighting line, form, and the space they inhabit.
Workshop fee includes all necessary plants, materials, and supplies. Add-ons may be available for a fee.
